We had soup and a main dish. The plates were cold, so the soup was not as hot as expected. The main dish was great!

We really enjoyed the high tea! There was more than enough to eat. Actually, probably a bit too much for us. The restaurant has a super cute and unique interior with all the flowers. The tables were a bit on the small side for a high tea, but honestly, we still had a great time!

Good quality food for a decent price! Service is how it should be but often you don't find it like this in the Netherlands. Super. Very nice atmosphere without being too "uptight". Loved it.

**A Truly Frustrating Dining Experience** I went to this restaurant with a friend, expecting a nice meal. We ordered fresh tuna salads—thinking it would be a safe, straightforward choice, especially given how busy the place was. To our shock, what arrived was raw tuna cubes sitting atop lettuce. Nowhere on the menu was it stated that the tuna would be served raw. We immediately let the waitress know that we don’t eat raw fish and asked if it could be replaced or swapped for something else. Her response? A dismissive “Well, it’s fresh tuna, so this is what you get.” No apology. No attempt to fix the issue. Just indifference. With no other options, I picked at the lettuce while my friend didn’t eat at all—the salad was drenched in tuna, making it impossible to salvage. And despite the fact that we barely touched the meal, we were still required to pay. Not only was the menu misleading, but the customer service was cold and unhelpful. Apparently, “fresh” doesn’t mean what most would assume, and some serious work needs to be done on clear menu descriptions—and basic hospitality. We won’t be returning. Lesson learned.

We were absolutely disappointed with our experience at Pilkington’s. We had a little family celebration there and had high expectations for their high tea ceremony. However, the food was lackluster, with no meat options. Bread with cucumber and super-dry quiche with peas for this money? Come on! The service was equally poor; we had to sit with dirty plates throughout the meal. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience and not worth the money. The only nice thing about the place is its location and interior.
